How was Green Lili born?

Green Lili was born in 2015. I really wanted to focus on doing what I love and making fun, quirky art accessible to everyone. This is a real passion project of mine.

Have you always wanted to be an artist?

Yes, I have always had a huge passion for art. At art college I explored many different areas; painting, digital, sculpture, photography and I loved it all. After working in graphic design for a few years, I combined my technical skills with a love for painting and drawing, which has led me to pursue my dream of becoming a digital artist.

Describe your signature style…

My signature style is digital painting and drawing. I like to experiment with texture and space and different techniques to create contrasting finishes. Whether that’s exploring loose, big brush strokes or intricate details that all work together, so you can still see that it is a signature Green Lili piece.

What’s key to your creative process?

Coffee and music. I can’t work without either!

What’s the best part of creating digital art?

With a keen interest in interior design, the best part for me about creating art in this way is that I can easily adapt pieces so they sit well in their surrounding space, matching themes and colours perfectly. It’s also really exciting that by creating art digitally, it can be used across other products like rugs, tableware, cushions and bedding to complete the look.

How would you describe your interior style?

Mixing old with new. I like to upcycle and look for unusual, quirky objects in vintage and second-hand stores. It has to be either white walls or dark walls, nothing in between!

If you could only hang one piece on your wall this season what would it be?

It would have to be the headdress print! I had a lot of fun creating this piece and I really love the colours and the boho vibe.
