Spotlight on: Home Comforts

Author Editor - 1 minute read
The clocks have just changed, meaning Summer is officially on its way.

Normally that would mean we're starting to spend time outside, sunbathing and walking. However, this year, things are a bit different. With us all spending an unprecedented amount of time indoors, we're sprucing up our space, adding cosy textiles and comforting colours, to make our interiors that much more inviting.

Lie back and relax

Does making your bed in the morning makes you feel contented, put together, and productive? Us too. Especially when working from home.

It's part of normal, everyday routines and that normality is great for our mornings at the moment. However, making the bed and then actually spending time in your room rather than running off to the office is making us see the space in a whole new way. The bed takes up the majority of that room, and that makes it a space to utilise. We're doing that by updating my sheets, and moving towards 100% cotton, beautifully patterned bedding, that we love looking at whilst working and can't wait to sink into at the end of the day.

Get cosy

Throws are the perfect way to add cosy textures to your space. Whether that's adding contrast to your bed or bringing comfort to your dining room, a throw is the perfect piece to snuggle up with.

We're going for throws in a variety of textures and patterns to bring interest to my spaces, because now, more than ever, we want something to cosy up to come sun-down.

Textured accents

Pile scatter cushions high for a plush place to rest your head.
Whether your space is industrial and sleek or cosy and colourful, adding soft textiles is an effortless way to bring comfort into your interior. We're adding colour into our spaces, adding dip-dyed linen pieces and playful patterns to bring the sunny outside in. A spring state of mind exists wherever you are.

We want to see how you're keeping cosy at home. Use #MyFC to show us how you're styling your space.
