Copenhagen Fashion Week with Sian Eastment-Williams

Author Editor - 2 minute read
Copenhagen Fashion Week is back. Known for its championing of up-and-coming new designer talent, eclectic trends and approach to style and of course, the abundance of 'It-girls' - it’s always a reliable destination for outfit inspiration for the season ahead.

From bold uplifting brights and elevated casual style to the return of the ultimate autumn staple, the trench coat, Scandi style is here to stay and providing plenty of shopping ideas and inspiration to draw from for the season ahead.

So this season, we invited digital creator, Sian Eastment-Williams, to share her favourite Scandi-inspired looks from our women's new in edit on the streets of Copenhagen. Whether you’re looking to add new styles to your autumn winter wish list, or in need of styling inspiration to give new lease of life to old favourites in your wardrobe, take styling cues from Sian.

1. All about the trench coat

Make way for the 'it' trend of AW23, the slouchy khaki trench coat. This Copenhagen Fashion Week was a wet and windy one, so naturally oversized trench coats were the most popular choice for those braving the drizzly schedule.

This Copenhagen Fashion Week proved that the utilitarian trend is back and setting the stage for the return of trench coat. You can't go wrong with trench coats and natural hues like khaki, camel and beige exude that utilitarian trend and is a perfect pairing for your autumn winter wardrobe.

This autumn sees progressions of the trench coat silhouette like our Fayette Three-in-One Trench Coat. Take inspiration from Sian and wear this style as a sleeveless layer with a printed midi dress and trending ballet flats for the perfect autumnal day look.

2. Tonal dressing

Tonal dressing in shades including beige, camel and khaki were seen up and down the streets of Copenhagen. An easy formula for creating a harmonious look, tonal layering is the transitional cheat-code we've been looking for. Mixed with contrasting textures and pieces like leather skirting - this combination reads smart and stylish for any occasion.

Take Sian's lead and balance out a tonal smock blouse and beige oversized sweater vest with a contrasting khaki leather mini skirt for a chic day look. Then style with trending chunky sandals for extra impact.

 3. Leather layering

As we move into autumn, we're already seeing leather re-emerge as the outwear-option of choice, and this was apparent on the runways and streets of Copenhagen. Cue our Crolenda Leather-Look Jacket with is sleek glossy finish, trending boxy fit and front panel detailing, it mixes classic with contemporary.

Stylish doesn’t need to mean complicated as Sian proves, teaming our Crolenda Jacket with tailored wide-leg cream trousers and a trending sheer top. Combined with a messy bun, silver jewellery and chunky footwear, this adds interest and attitude to your new season look.
