We’re all familiar with that awkward period between Christmas and New Year where post festive celebrations we’re left wondering, what now? You have no idea what day of the week it is, what you're meant to be doing, whether you're supposed to be going back to work and everything just seems a bit out of sync.

If you find yourself twiddling your thumbs in the days following Christmas then look no further.

Head To The Cinema

There have been a number of great film releases this month and a quick trip to your local cinema to check these out is cheerful way to spend one of those in between days.

If Disney classics are your thing, Mary Poppins Returns is out on December 21st and stars Emily Blunt and Dick Van Dyke. A sequel to the original 1964 Mary Poppins, this American musical fantasy is the ultimate feel-good film to enjoy with family.

Alternatively, if you’re a superhero lover then the American sci-fi fantasy film Aquaman may be better suited to you. This action packed adventure tells the story of Arthur Curry who learns that he is the heir to the underwater Kingdom of Atlantis.

A Trip To The Theatre

If you’re looking for something a little fancier than a cinema trip, why not opt for a visit to the theatre? There are a great variety of shows at various locations this December.

Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre, London features breath-taking sets, lavish costumes and an impressive cast that bring the West End stage to life. Based on the academy-award winning film, this musical is a magical experience not to be missed.

Wicked at Apollo Victoria, London is a musical sensation and the fifth longest running musical currently playing at the West End. It tells the story of an unlikely friendship between two young women who first meet as sorcery students. Perfect to enjoy with family!

Follow The Lights

An option that doesn’t include sitting indoors over the festive period – visiting an outdoor light trail. A great way to get a breath of fresh air and some exercise in whilst treating your eyes to the amazing displays the following locations have to offer.
