As a nationwide brand, French Connection understands that different towns and cities stamp their own distinct style on key seasonal trends, and so we aim to embrace and celebrate regional fashion with the introduction of City Style.

City Style is a mobile in-store interactive styling competition that will visit various stores across England, Scotland and Ireland to encourage both male and female customers to become on-the-spot fashion stylists.

Participants will be able to select and style their personal key AW08 look on a dedicated styling grid. A photo of the outfit will be taken and printed, each city's winner will be able to keep their winning outfit up to the value of 250 pounds plus win a night, including dinner and breakfast, at a MalMaison/Hotel Du Vin.

All regional winning entries will also be posted on our ANewMovement blog www.frenchconnection.com/anewmovement. When all the cities visited have a winner, they will go head to head in a public vote to decide which city is the most stylish in the UK!

Held on the last Friday of every month, the V&A's programme of French Connection Friday Late events explores contemporary ideas ranging across fashion, design, music, art and performance. The cutting-edge events will include live performances, installations, workshops, debates, lectures, tours and temporary displays. This is the first time the V&A have signed a long term sponsor for one of its programmes.

French Connection wanted to create a long-term platform which compliments the existing brand campaign yet enables the brand to target consumers on a more personal, interactive level. This sponsorship forms part of an ongoing strategy to influence the influencers and with a growing synonymous relationship between fashion and art this partnership is a natural direction for the brand to take.

28th November: Metal Rocks

This month's French Connection Friday Late is a collaboration with metalwork and jewellery students from the Royal College of Art, who will explore and experiment creatively with metal to make jewellery, games and music. There will be jewellery making workshops, talks by leading jewellery practitioners and film screenings. French Connection will give every visitor a length of cord with a limited edition charm. Visitors will be able to collect further charms and beads from stations throughout the museum to create a unique piece of jewellery to take home on the night.
